Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has played down rumours linking Yaya Toure with the departure from Etihad Stadium.
The Ivory Coast midfielder is clearly not in the best form this season and newspapers were suggesting he is also not on the best terms with the Chilean coach and club directors.
Pellegrini however stated that he has no intention of selling his star.
Pellegrini said: “We will talk about the next season in the right moment. Everybody can say what they want about different rumours.”
Citizens already lost their Premier League campaign as Chelsea London secured the trophy last weekend. While Pellegrini refuses to sell Toure no one will be really surprised if both of them will be out of the club in the summer.
Chilean coach failed to defend the title and got knocked out early on from the Champions League. Toure failed to impress this season and is already 31-year-old which might mean his best years are behind him.
City definitely need changes and it's quite likely both of them will be victims in this situation.
