English media are reporting today that Manchester United have rejected an offer for Chris Smalling. According to reports 25-year-old defender attracted interest from Arsenal London.
Smalling made 22 appearances for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season out of which 18 were in the starting line-up. He is also a regular player for Roy Hodgson in the England national team.
Despite that he failed to established himself as a regular first team player under manager Luis van Gaal which raised some speculation about his future.
Manchester is currently 4th in the Premier League table. With 59 points on their account they have a good chance for Champions League qualification. At the moment they have 5 points advantage over Liverpool and 6 points over Southampton.
After the international break they will face Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
