Real Madrid midfielder Sam Khedira has confirmed he is planning to leave Real Madrid after this season. The German international player will move as a free agent once his contract with the club expires in the summer.
Khedira will probably be one of the hottest transfer targets in the summer. He's still only 27-year-old and having played for German national team and big European club he definitely has some good experience that a big group of top clubs will be happy to bring into their squads.
It's understood that both Arsenal and Liverpool will be seriously interested in his signing with also Manchester United being a likely destination.
Khedira moved to Real Madrid from Stuttgart shortly after the 2010 World Cup. He has made over 100 appearances for the Galacticos.
Commenting his decision for German newspaper Kicker he said:
“I want to find new challenges for my career and continue to grow as a player,”.
“I don't have an agreement with any club nor any preferences as to who I would like to join.”
He also clearly stated that: “It's not a decision against Real Madrid. For me, it was a magnificent moment in my life in a magnificent team. I will do everything I can to continue helping the team during the forthcoming weeks.”
