Tottenham Hotspur host West Ham for a mid-week London derby treat. Jose Mourinho’s side looked far better than they did before the break against Manchester United on Friday night and should be up for this one. They are now only four points shy of fifth and could be pushing for a Champions League spot.
West Ham returned to action on Saturday in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves. The Hammers are hovering above the drop zone on goal difference and desperately need three points here.

Tottenham vs West Ham – The Form Guide
Spurs season was looking over in early March following a string of poor results including getting dumped out of the Champions League. Mourinho’s side are on a four-match winless streak in the Premier League, earning 19 points fewer than they did at this stage last season.
In saying that, Tottenham have been playing without their star players. Harry Kane missed several months through injury, as did keeper Hugo Lloris. Son Heung-min was also missing with a broken arm. So, on Friday – Spurs looked much sharper. With fifth spot a possible Champions League place for next season, they have it all to play for.
West Ham are also on a terrible run of form. The Hammers have lost four of their last five Premier League games and find themselves in a relegation scrap. They have 27 points, joint with Bournemouth in 18th, and only one ahead of Aston Villa in 19th.
The Hammers put on a lacklustre display against Wolves on Saturday. They held their own for large parts of the game but couldn’t cope with Adama Traore when he came on. When they went behind, West Ham didn’t manage another shot on target, mustering only two for the full 90 minutes.
What is the Team News?
Dele Alli is available for selection again having served his one-match ban against United. However, Mourinho may be tempted to stick with the same starting XI as Friday night.
Lucas Moura is a doubt following a head injury in training.
Eric Dier wasn’t at his best against United, giving away a penalty late in the game, and almost a second in injury time. Toby Alderweireld is expected to take his spot.
David Moyes will likely make several changes to line up he fielded against Wolves.
Declan Rice should be recalled to midfield, while Manuel Lazini and Andriy Yarmoleno may also be picked to start upfront.
Youngster Jeremy Ngakia struggled a little during Saturday’s game and Ryan Fredericks may be brought back in.
Tottenham line-up: Lloris; Aurier, Sanchez, Dier, Davies; Sissoko, Winks, Bergwijn, Alli, Son; Kane.
West Ham line-up: Fabianski; Ngakia, Diop, Rice, Cresswell; Bowen, Noble, Soucek, Fornals, Anderson; Haller.
Tottenham vs West Ham Latest Odds*
With Spurs playing at home and welcoming key players back – their odds of 7/10 (1.7) against a struggling West Ham look quite attractive. The Hammers are far bigger at 4/1 (5.0) with 32Red, but given their poor record and lack of goals, it could be bigger.
These sides have played out only one draw in their last five meetings, but if you fancy it this time around, you’ll get 3/1 (4.0) at 32Red.
Tottenham vs West Ham Score Prediction
Spurs won the reverse of this match 3-2, resisting a late West Ham onslaught. It was a hugely open game, but this is not what we expect this time.
West Ham need the points but it’s difficult to see them going all-out attack with Spurs counter-attacking pace. Tottenham have Lloris back in goals and his presence may help steady the ship at the back. The Hammers do, however, need to score.
England Captain Harry Kane looked a little off the pace on Friday evening but should be coming back to full fitness. Steven Bergwijn looked sharp, however, and with Alli possibly back in the fold, Spurs could be formidable.
For those reasons, we fancy a 3-1 home win at 11/1 (12.0) with 32Red.
Tottenham vs West Ham Tip
Confidence at West Ham will likely be low, but a win away in a London derby would certainly boost morale. The Hammers, of course, became the first team to win at Tottenham’s new stadium last season and will be hopeful of that result reoccurring.
In saying that, Spurs should win. They are expected to win, and it will be a huge disappointment for the club if they do not.
