The good news is that you can watch a selection on Bundesliga games live from your sofa. BT Sport have the rights to show a pick of games throughout the season and this will start up again as soon as matches kick-off.

BT Sport have a handy schedule showing which matches will be on, and at what time. Bundesliga matches are well staggered so you should expect to watch at least a couple in the first round of games. It is not yet known how many matches BT will broadcast as they do not normally show the 2.30 (BST) kick-offs due to the live football blackout in the UK.

*Update BT Sport have since announced that all German Bundesliga 1. matches will be broadcast live across various BT Sport channels.

Of course, the downside to this is that you’ll need a BT Sport subscription. There is still plenty of time to sign-up for one if you fancy, BT Broadband customers can get this for an additional £10 a month at present. Various passes through the likes of NOWTV are also an option. Furthermore, the idea of making all games free-to-air has also been flouted – so don't be too hasty when signing up.

If you’re looking for an alternative to mainstream channels, then your betting account may be the solution. Football betting sites in the UK often have the rights to European football games, including the Bundesliga.

One of our favourite bookies, bet365, offer this as a feature. Similarly to BT Sport, bet365 also have a schedule so you can pick which matches you want to watch. They may, in fact, have all of the games available, and you can flick between games whenever you want.

The bet365 Bundesliga live streams are not available in all countries, and geo-blocking applies in areas in which it is not permitted. The German Bundesliga is currently blocked in Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg & Switzerland.

How Does Live Streaming on Betting Sites Work?

Watching live sports through your betting account is a piece of cake. In days gone by you would have to have placed a bet on the specific game you wanted to watch, but now the process is much simpler.

All you need is a positive balance on your account or have placed a bet on any sport within the previous 24 hours. Your account will also need to have been verified for you to stream, but this is something that all players will need to do when they deposit.

The streaming service is available on a good few bookies in the UK and is usually available to watch on desktop or the app. As mentioned above you don’t need to place a specific football bet, any bet will mean you qualify.
