Jadon Sancho is one of Europe’s hottest prospects with the young English winger in high demand. Reports suggest he will depart Borussia Dortmund this summer, but the German club are said to be keen to hold on to him. He has contributed towards 29 goals (14 goals, 15 assists) in only 23 league appearances this season so far, so it’s no wonder he’s got tongues wagging.

Plenty of big-name clubs have been trying to lure Sancho away from Dortmund, but nothing yet has materialised. Here we’ll look at where the youngster could end up come the start of next season.

Jadon Sancho Next Club – 5 Most Probable Moves

It is not clear yet where Sancho would prefer to continue to learn his trade, but a return to his homeland looks likely. Manchester United have emerged as favourites to land their man but where else might he end up? Chelsea and Liverpool have been keeping tabs on him as to have Bayern and Barcelona.

Sancho to Manchester United – Latest Odds and News

It has been reported that Manchester United are not only leading the chase for Sancho but have in fact agreed personal terms. This is, of course, all hearsay for now, however, the odds suggest that there is an element of truth in this. 888Sport currently hold the top price for the move to happen at 8/5 (2.6) with some bookies as low as 1/4 (1.25).

United have long been admirers of England’s most exciting export and are keen to bring him to the Premier League. They appeared to be close to reaching a deal last summer before Sancho agreed to an extension in Germany. So, what has changed this time? Since Sancho has recorded such an impressive return this season, he has shown he is not a one-season wonder. United missed out on Sancho’s teammate Erling Haaland and are desperate to make a big name signing.

Why it might not happen? The transfer fees. No doubt United can afford to pay it but whether they will or not is a different matter. Dortmund are said to be holding out for a British record and won’t yet the 20-year old go for anything under €110m (£95m). Will United stump up the cash? Watch this space.

Likelihood – high

Sancho to Bayern Munich Odds

It’s a move that we’ve seen plenty of times before Dortmund > Bayern. Munich are the biggest name in German football and often the greater prospect of winning trophies tempts players into the unpopular move.

On top of that, he would be pretty much guaranteed to be playing Champions League football every season that he stayed at the Allianz. Manchester United can’t promise the same for now with the former giants struggling in the league. The Red Devils only managed to qualify for the Europa League last season and Sancho may not want to settle for that. He clearly enjoys playing in Germany and after two exceptional seasons is a popular figure. A top price of 25/1 (26.0) is still kicking about but the average has dropped to 12/1 (13.0). This move could be significant.

Will Sancho Stay At Dortmund?

As with the move to Bayern Munich, Sancho may wish to stay put. He has been nurtured at Dortmund since his move from the Manchester City academy and is playing great football. The club have made it clear that he is an important player for them and are willing to offer an improved contract.

Erling Haaland joint the Black and Yellows in January which shows a real statement on intent. The German side are ambitious and are building a team around youth. They are pushing Munich hard this season for one of the closest titles in the Bundesliga some time. Unibet have him priced at EVS (2.0) to be a Dortmund player next season.

Likelihood – high

Jadon Sancho to Chelsea – An Outside Chance

Chelsea were tipped as second-favourites to Manchester United in the chase to sign Sancho. The Blues have a decent relationship with the German side having purchased Christian Pulisic in 2017. Sancho would play in a similar role to the American (as he did at Dortmund), so the appeal might not be there for Sancho to follow his former teammate. Furthermore, Chelsea are not guaranteed to be playing Champions League football next term, which is a big put off.

With rumours swirling that Sancho could be going to United, Chelsea seem to have cooled their interest. Frank Lampard has turned his attention to former Liverpool playmaker Phillipe Countinho. The Brazilian is currently on loan at Bayern Munich and Lampard is set to offer him a loan deal at Stamford Bridge. Because of this, odds on Sancho moving to Chelsea have drifted out to 4/1 (5.0) with Unibet.

Likelihood – slim
