*Please note this match has been postponed along with the rest of the Premier League due to the Coronavirus outbreak. The League is set to resume on the 3rd April 2020, but the situation will be assessed closer to the time.*

West Ham are looking for a vital three points when they take on Wolves on Sunday afternoon. The Hammers are hovering above the relegation zone on goal difference and could drop to 19th depending on results around them.

Getting three points from Wolves will be easier said than done. The Wanderers are in terrific form and are pushing for Champions League qualification. In saying that, they have an uncomfortable trip to Greece in the Europa League on Wednesday night, which could put this match in jeopardy. If all goes ahead, then they will have less than 72 hours to gear themselves up for a tough away game.

West Ham vs Wolves – The Form Guide

The Hammers have won only once since their 4-0 victory over Bournemouth on New Years Day. As a result, they are one of the favourites to drop into the Championship next season. They lost against Arsenal at the weekend by 1-0 but the scoreline didn’t tell the story of the game. West Ham spurned several huge opportunities and really should have taken three points.

Wolves are at the other end of the scale. They have continued to exceed expectations and are only five points behind Chelsea in fifth. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have lost only six times this season, the joint second-best record in the league. Furthermore, they are unbeaten in five league outings.

What is the Team News?

Jarrod Bowen has made an instant impact for West Ham and looks to be a shrewd bit of business for the London side. The youngster has been in the thick of the Hammers attacks and was unlucky to only hit the post with a terrific drive against Arsenal. He will no doubt be in the starting XI.

Frenchman Sebastian Haller will lead the line again with Michail Antonio looking to add the all-important goal to his decent displays of late.

Ryan Fredericks, Andriy Yamolneko and Jack Wilshere are all out through injury.

Jonny Otto and Morgan Gibbs-White are both definitely ruled out for the visitors.

Adama Traore has come back into the team following a short injury lay-off and will cause a lot of problems to West Ham’s defence.

Wolves of course play on Thursday against Olympiakos. Nuno will be hoping for no fresh injuries.

Predicted Line-Ups

West Ham Predicted Line-up: Fabianski, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Diop, Ngakia, Noble, Fornals, Antonio, Rice, Bowen, Haller

Wolves Predicted Line-up
: Patricio, Boly, Coady, Saiss, Doherty, Dendonker, Traore, Joao Moutinho, Vinagre, Jiminez, Jota

West Ham vs Wolves Latest Odds

West Ham put on a good display against Arsenal managing three times as many shots on target as the Gunners but couldn’t make it count. If they play the same way on Sunday, they will create chances to score but will need to be more clinical. LeoVegas have them priced at 2/1 (3.0) which considering they have more days to prepare and have home advantage could be a decent shout.

Confidence around Wolves will be high and despite their travels mid-week they will expect to win here. They are priced at 6/4 (2.5) with LeoVegas.

The visitors have drawn 13 games so far, which is a league-high. Get 5/2 (3.5) for them to make that 14 on Sunday with LeoVegas.

West Ham vs Wolves Score Prediction

The Hammers have netted 35 goals this season which is only six less than their high-flying opponents. They have outscored eight sides in the bottom 10, with Everton the only side to better their tally. It is clear, therefore, that their main issue is in defence. West Ham have let in 50 goals in the league and don’t look like tightening up.

Wolves, on the other hand, have kept four clean sheets in their last five Premier League matches. They conceded twice to Spurs but showed great character to eventually win the game 3-2. Raul Jiminez is the club’s top scorer with 16 and we fancy him to get in on the goals here.

Bearing all of this in mind, we like the look of a 2-1 win to Wolves at 8/1 (9.0)with LeoVegas.

West Ham vs Wolves Tip

Value in this match may come from a goalscorer bet. Wolves will be suffering some sort of fatigue regardless of the result on Thursday, and West Ham could capitalise.

Several Wolves players have a good chance of scoring with Jiminez the pick of the bunch at 6/4 (2.5) to score anytime. However, we’re picking out a player for the home side to hit the back of the net.

Best bet: Jarrod Bowen to score anytime at 53/20 (3.65) with LeoVegas
