Mikel Arteta and his Arsenal side romped to a 4-0 victory over Newcastle in their last league outing, although they did leave it late. With fifth place looking likely to be enough to secure a place in next seasons Champions League, this is surely the Londoner's goal.
Everton sit above the Gunners in the table by a two-point margin. The Toffees have been reborn under Carlo Ancelotti and will fancy their chances in the capital.

Arsenal vs Everton – The Form Guide
Arsenal broke their four-game winless streak in the league with a 4-0 victory over Newcastle. Two of the goals came in injury time as the Gunners continued to press even when in front. This is the sort of fire they will need if they are to claim a European spot. They currently sit 10th in the table, but only six behind Spurs in fifth.
Arteta has overseen five draws in his first eight games as Arsenal manager and his side need to start showing some killer instinct. The Gunners have won only seven games all season but still find themselves in the mix despite being an incredible 42 points behind Liverpool at the top. A win here would give them a fighting chance of finishing in a respectable spot.
Everton are on a remarkable run of form; they have lost only once in their last 11 league games. That loss came in a hard-fought 2-1 loss away to Manchester City. There is a positive feeling around Goodison at the moment; it’s hard to believe this is the same side who were in the drop zone with only 14 points after 15 games. The Ancelotti revolution is well underway.
The Toffees have won three of their last five and have climbed to ninth in the table. Brazilian Richarlison has returned to form and he will be key in the run into the end of the season. There is a real chance that Everton can claim 5th spot as they are only four points behind Spurs who play Chelsea at the weekend.
What is the Team News?
Arteta will be pleased to see this his injury list has eased lately. He will have been equally happy to see all of his attackers score at the weekend. Mesut Ozil, Nicholas Pepe, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang all scored while Alexandre Lacazette ended his two-month goal drought. All are in contention to start.
Long-term absentee Kieran Tierney is set to return in the next few weeks, although English youngster Bukayo Saka has been impressing in his position.
Cedric Soares won’t be fit in time for this one with Calum Chambers out for the season.
Andre Gomes is closing in on a return for Everton after suffering a horror leg break back in August. He may well be on the bench here.
Theo Walcott and Bernard are both doubts but both are expected to make it for Sunday’s game.
Meanwhile, Fabian Delph is definitely ruled out as he serves the remainder of his suspension.
Arsenal Predicted Line-up: Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Luiz, Saka, Ceballos, Ozil, Xhaka, Aubameyang, Pepe, Lacazette
Everton Predicted Line-up: Pickford, Keane, Digne, Mina, Coleman, Sigurdsson, Schneiderlin, Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin, Walcott, Bernard
Arsenal vs Everton Latest Odds
Arteta has done a great job at Arsenal so far, despite the results not being quite there yet. They have been inconsistent and four draws in their last five highlights this. If they want to finish with a flurry, they will need to get a win here. BoyleSports have them at 1/1 (2.0) to get the win, and this could be a decent shout.
Ancelotti has led Everton to 17 points from eight matches, only bettered by city neighbours Liverpool (24). Their odds of 13/5 (3.6) with BoyleSports look quite appealing from a betting point of view.
Arsenal have drawn 13 league games this season, the most of any other club. A draw here is available at 13/5 (3.6) with BoyleSports.
Arsenal vs Everton Score Prediction
All of the Gunners attackers fired home a goal last weekend, and all will be hungry to take to the field. Aubameyang is bay far their top scorer with 15 in the league alone. The captain has been in terrific form playing on the left and will likely be the biggest threat.
The Toffees are playing with confidence scoring 10 times in their last five games. They will be tough to crack and Arsenal will need to contain the likes of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin who have 24 goals between them for the season.
Neither side have great defensive records which means this could be a high-scoring affair.
Because Arsenal are at home and their attacking players are on form, we’re giving them the edge.
A 3-1 Arsenal win at 14/1 (15.0) at BoyleSports is our correct score prediction.
Arsenal vs Everton Tip
The question is, could this be another false dawn for Arsenal fans? Their side travel to Greece on Thursday night to take on Olympiakos and if they get a positive result there, then they will be full of confidence.
Ancelotti has turned Everton into a more attacking side, and we feel that they will break Arsenal down at least once. Richarlison has 11 goals and four assists so far this season and looks like the one to watch for Everton.
It’s difficult to back Arsenal to win given their record of drawing games lately, but conversely, we can’t see Everton taking all three points. Because of that, we’re picking at goal scorer for our best bet.
