West Ham welcome Liverpool to the London Stadium on Wednesday night to play their postponed match week 18 game. The Hammers are in chaos. The Londoners have won only one game since David Moyes returned for his second spell as manager and are in danger of going down.
On the other hand, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are marching towards their first title in 30 years. If they win this one, they will open an incredible 19 point gap at the top of the table.

West Ham vs Liverpool – The Form Guide
West Ham were played off the park in their 4-1 loss to Leicester in their last league outing. They held a mere 32% of the possession and apart from their penalty, rarely threatened the Foxes' goal. This has been a bit of a habit for the Hammers this season, who are now only above the relegation zone on goal difference.
Moyes’ side followed up that defeat with a shock 1-0 loss in the FA Cup to Championship side West Brom. Despite fielding a strong side, it took the Londoners a full 90 minutes to register a shot on target. It’s a worrying time for the Hammers who will need to improve on those performances to have any hope on Wednesday night.
Liverpool were held to a 2-2 draw in the FA Cup at the weekend by a gutsy Shrewsbury Town. A replay would have been Klopp’s least preferred outcome and the German coach has already stated that his first-team players will not take part.
The Red’s focus seems to be on winning the league as quickly as possible. They have dropped points only once this campaign winning 22 of their 23 league games. It looks as though this Liverpool side will break records until the end of the season, and you sense there will be no let-up for West Ham here.
What is the Team News?
David Moyes sent out a strong side in his side's defeat to the Baggies. It’s hard to say who else he could have fielded, although there were a couple of absentees.
Scotland international Robert Snodgrass missed out and is a doubt for the Liverpool game with a knock to the knee.
Andriy Yarmolenko, Ryan Fredericks, Felipe Anderson, and Arthur Masuaku will also miss out. Similarly, Jack Wilshere will be on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski is injured again and will miss this match.
For Klopp, the Liverpool injury list is shortening. James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri remain out, although both are expected back very soon.
Adam Lallana will undergo a late fitness test as he recovers from an illness.
Sadio Mane is still being assessed having gone off injured against Wolves. He is not expected to be back in time for this one.
West Ham Predicted Line-up: Randolph, Zabaleta, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell, Anotonio, Fornals, Rice, Noble, Lanzini, Haller
Liverpool Predicted Line-up: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Origi, Firmino, Salah
West Ham vs Liverpool Latest Odds
The Hammers are a big 15/2 (8.5) to get the win with William Hill. Although a decent price, we feel that on form that it’s too short to back. Liverpool are just too good at the moment and the 1/3 (1.33) for them to get another three points is far more appealing.
The draw is available with William Hill at 9/2 (5.5). Given that the last time these two sides met here a draw was played out, it is worth considering. In saying that, The Red’s know how to win this season, and anything apart from that outcome would be hard to go with.
West Ham vs Liverpool Score Prediction
Liverpool have put four passed their London rivals in their four games previous to the 1-1 draw and look unstoppable this season.
The Red’s (54) have scored double what West Ham (27) have this season and we expect them to outscore them on Wednesday.
Even without the services of African Player of the Year, Mane – Liverpool have players that can win games all over the park.
With this in mind, a 4-0 scoreline at 12/1 (13.0) with William Hill is our pick here.
West Ham vs Liverpool Betting Tip
From a betting point of view, we’re looking at markets with a Liverpool win. There are a massive 44 points between the two sides, and we think that gulf will be clear come the end of the game.
Roberto Firmino is enjoying a fine vein of form as is Egyptian forward Mo Salah. Both of these should enjoy rattling a shaky West Ham defence and we can see plenty of goals here.
Handicap markets are appealing as we expect Liverpool to rack up a few goals. With this in mind, we’re looking at Liverpool -3 at 11/2 (6.5). In saying that, we still see value in Liverpool -2 at 12/5 (3.4).
