Norwich City vs Manchester City – The Form Guide
Although they’ve only won one of their four Premier League games, Norwich have drawn plenty of plaudits for their performances. Daniel Farke has refused to compromise his attacking style although a lack of defensive solidity has ultimately cost the Canaries.
The fixture list hasn’t been especially kind to Norwich though. Following this game, they’ll have already played three of last season’s top five teams.
Manchester City dropped two points against Tottenham at home but other than that, Pep Guardiola’s side have been flawless. The champions have already racked up 12 goals with Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero looking irresistible in attack.
What is the Team News?
The home side are without Christoph Zimmermann and Timm Klose for this game. Both players are long term absentees and have been ruled out until next year.
Grant Hanley will also miss out as he hasn't recovered from his groin injury in time. Tim Krul is a doubt and Max Aarons is definitely out. Those defensive absentees don’t bode well as Norwich host a team that 95 Premier League goals last season.
The injuries don't stop there though. Moritz Leitner, Mario Vrancic and Tom Trybull will also be absent. Patrick Roberts is ineligible for this game.
John Stones, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan have a good chance of being fit enough for selection for City. The visitors will continue to be without Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy and Leory Sane who are long-term absentees.
Norwich City line-up: Krul; Byram, Amadou, Godfrey, Lewis; Trybull, McLean, Tettey, Stiepermann, Cantwell; Pukki.
Manchester City line-up: Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Stones, Zinchenko; D. Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Sterling, Aguero, B. Silva

Goals should flow freely at Carrow Road. Norwich’s attack is led by Teemu Pukki who continued his emphatic form over the International break. The 29-year-old netted in both Finland’s games and now has 11 goals in his last nine outings for club and country.
