Bournemouth vs Everton – The Form Guide

Defensive issues have continued to hamper Bournemouth’s form. While the Cherries pose plenty of threat going forward their inability to stop teams scoring against them is causing serious issues. The hosts have managed just one clean sheet in 12 Premier League matches and their injury situation only adds to that problem.

Everton come into this game in high spirits. A 3-2 win over Wolves capped the first portion of the season off nicely before the international break. Marco Silva’s side have showed their attacking credentials after a frustrating couple of matches to open the season. A relatively clean bill of health sees them in a solid position to take a positive result here too.

Home advantage has proved key in this fixture over the past few years. Five of the last six Premier League meetings have resulted in home wins, although Bournemouth will have to upset the odds to continue that trend.

What is the Team News?

The Cherries have been hampered by injuries of late. Things didn’t get any better over the international break as Chris Mepham was substituted during Wales’ latest game. The centre-back has a chance of making this clash though, as does Adam Smith. Charlie Daniels, Lewis Cook, David Brooks and Dan Gosling are all expected to be out for the foreseeable future.

Simon Francis is back in training while Arnaud Danjuma is continuing his recovery from a foot injury. He won't be fit for this one though.

Jonas Lossl has a chance of being available for this game although Jordan Pickford will continue in goal. Jean-Philippe Gbamin will be ouit of action until October at the earliest.

Predicted line-ups

Bournemouth predicted line-up: Ramsdale, Smith, Mepham, Cook, Ake; H. Wilson, Billing, Lerma, Fraser; King, Wilson.

Everton predicted line-up: Pickford; Digne, Mina, Keane, Coleman; Delph, Gomes, Iwobi, Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Kean

Bournemouth vs Everton Latest Odds

Everton are bet365’s 5/4 (2.25) favourites to win their third consecutive Premier League game. That price might be a surprise given they’re the away team, but the injury crisis at Bournemouth has deprived them of several key players. The Cherries are priced at 2/1 (3.0) to defy that situation and pick up three points. The draw is 5/2 (3.50) with the online bookmaker.

Bournemouth vs Everton Score Prediction

The strikers should have a profitable day on the south coast. The Toffees are undoubtedly in better shape but the home side play on the front foot, especially in front of their own fans. There’s 12/1 (13.0) available on a 2-2 draw with bet365.

Eddie Howe

Bournemouth vs Everton Betting Tip

The only way to approach this game from a betting perspective is backing goals. Neither defence instils any confidence, especially with the hosts missing several of their first-choice line-up.

The forward lines are in fine form though. Both teams to score has landed in every Premier League game for Bournemouth this season. It’s short enough at 4/6 (1.67) though and there is a better value option available.

There’s 2/1 (3.0) on over 3.5 goals being scored at the Vitality Stadium and that’s the best bet for this game. It paid out in this fixture last season and goal-backers should be rewarded once more.

Best Bet: Over 3.5 goals at 2/1 (3.0) with bet365
