It’s week four in the MLS this weekend as New York Red Bulls host an Orlando City side still searching for their first win of the season. You have to go back to 2015 to find the last time Orlando City won away in New Jersey against the Metros. Another home win coming up?

New York Red Bulls vs Orlando City – The Form Guide
New York Red Bulls head into Saturday’s game on the back of an impressive 4-1 win against the San Jose Earthquakes last weekend. They were knocked out of the CONCACAF Champions League, though, just before that win. Some were worried that their defeat to Santos Laguna would knock their confidence in the MLS, but they bounced back in style. That’s not good news for the away side.
In contrast, Orlando City haven’t got going yet at all. They were beaten convincingly at home against Montreal Impact last weekend, and they drew their two matches before that 1-1 and 2-2 versus Chicago Fire and New York City respectively.
The away side will need to start well on Saturday night, but it’s worth noting that they’ve lost each of the last four visits to the Red Bull Arena. Chris Armas’ side are also the current favourites to lift the MLS Cup this season, so it won’t be easy for the Lions.
One sad point to note is that New York’s Florian Valot once again tore his ACL, which means he will be out for the whole campaign. That guy has no luck.
The home side are overwhelming favourites to win this one at 4/11. Orlando are priced up at 7/1 with the draw at 4/1.
4-1. Although Orlando have had a bad start to the season, they’ve still managed to score goals. I think they can score again here when you consider the defensive injuries the home side have at the moment. Having said that, New York should have too much in the final third for Orlando and should end up winning this easily.
New York, New York. No, I’m not reeling off Frank Sinatra lyrics. The home side should win this comfortably, and I don’t think they’ll give Orlando any time to settle into the game. New York/New York in the HT/FT market looks appealing at 23/20, so that’s the bet I’m going for in this one.
