Around 120 hours (or five days) ago, we were told that the Sanchez to Utd deal would be done in 48 hours. Yet, here we are and guess what? Fresh reports are saying that an announcement is imminent within….yes, that's right, 48 hours!
Both Sanchez and Mkhitaryan are currently at their prospective new clubs undergoing medicals. Some formalities need to be completed with their work permits, and the new signings will be unveiled late on Monday. Man Utd and Arsenal both won at the weekend, and this deal could work out well for the two clubs.
Sanchez At Carrington For Medical
Alexis Sanchez reportedly flew to Manchester on Sunday morning and is at Carrington right now having his medical. Arsene Wenger left the want away Chilean out of his squad on Saturday. If there are no further hiccups, he could make his Utd debut at Wembley vs Spurs.
Sky Sports report that there will be no transfer fee, and that the deal is a straight swap between both clubs. The agents involved, and the two players, are sure to benefit massively financially. Mkhitaryan is very likely to have received a nice lump sum from Utd to compensate him for a probable drop in wages.
Mkhi Could Be So Fine At Arsenal
The mercurial Armenian is currently in London, also undergoing his medical. He could prove to be a very useful addition at The Emirates. His style of play simply doesn't suit Mourinho, and his silky skills will be a lot more suited to The Gunners.
It looks like Arsene Wenger is going all in on Henrikh Mkhitaryan. The proposed deal for Bordeaux winger Malcom looks dead in the water now. Wenger will be hoping that Mkhitaryan can quickly develop an understanding with Mesut Ozil. Both players ooze creativity, but whether they have that crucial on pitch chemistry remains to be seen.
