Chelsea London manager Jose Mourinho said he is in no hurry to sign a new contract at Stamford Bridge. He stated that after winning the Premier League title last weekend he remains committed to the club and will fight for more trophies next year.
“Mr Abramovich needs to be very calm. I am in his hands. I want to stay, I don't want to leave. I am not asking for a better contract. I am very, very calm. He doesn't need to be worried, he has me.
“If he wants me to stay, I'm staying. When he wants me to leave, I leave. I know he wants me next season because I am working. A ten-year contract is not important.” he said.
Mourinho came back to Chelsea in 2013. He was close to the title last season but eventually Manchester City won it. Now he left no chance to the opponents and secured the trophy already 3 rounds before the end of the fixture list.
Chelsea will face Liverpool in their next Premier League game this weekend. Despite title celebrations the Blues are still favorites to win this game and finish the season in good style.
