Harry Kane Next Club: Latest News and Odds, Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG and More

Well, well, well Harry Kane has set the cat amongst the pigeons at Tottenham. Rumours are rife that he will search for a new club if Spurs fail to qualify for Europe next year. And who can blame him with Spurs in chaos? The England captain is desperate for trophies and so is searching for a club that will match his ambitions.

Tottenham were dubbed the ‘Harry Kane’ club by current manager Jose Mourinho and Spurs have been in free-fall during his lengthy absence with injury. The future looks uncertain for the London side, but what does it hold for Kane?

Harry Kane Next Club – Five Most Probable Moves

The 26-year-old is closing in on what should be the peak years of his career. You get the feeling that if he wants to win trophies he will have to move soon, especially if Spurs will demand a fee of around £200m.

There are plenty of clubs interested in the star forward, and here we look at all the teams on the radar with serious hopes of signing him.

Harry Kane to Manchester United

This would be the one move that would likely hurt Spurs fans the most. In fact, any move within the Premier League would feel like a betrayal. However, United haven't been faring much better than the London Club in recent times. In saying that, the tide seems to have turned for the red side of Manchester and winning trophies is in their mentality.

Manchester United have been lacking in the striker position, especially since Marcus Rashford has been sidelined. With the club's deep pockets, they could no doubt afford to bring the England captain on board, and he would certainly give this United side a boost.

Money may not be enough to lure Kane though. He has been loyal to Spurs and it would be hard to see him enjoy playing against his former club. But with the frontman desperate to join a team looking to take home silverware – loyalty might go out the window.

Paddy Power have Kane at 6/4 (2.5) to make the move making the Red Devils the favourites to land him.

A Move to Manchester City?

Another option within England is Manchester City. We can pretty much rule out any move to another London club, but Kane may be tempted North. Manchester City, of course, have won an abundance of trophies lately and are favorites to land the Champions League this season.

Sergio Aguero isn’t quite as sharp as he used to be as he approaches his mid-thirties. Kane could be viewed as the ideal replacement. Pep Guardiola has made no secret of his admiration for the England striker and like United, he has the money to move for him.

The blocker, however, is City’s ban from Europe. Kane has made it clear he wants to compete for Europe’s most sought after trophy and without Champions League football, this move is unlikely. As a result, City have dropped down the pecking order and are an outside 14/1 (15.0) with Paddy Power to land the striker.

Likelihood – slim

Can Real Madrid Afford Kane?

The Spanish giants have been buzzing around Kane for some time with him being odds on to make the move last summer. Nothing materialised though, but Zinedine Zidane will be purring with the news that Kane could be ready to move.

Why it might not happen? Kylian Mbappe. The French superstar has been heavily linked with a move to the Spanish capital; clearly, he won’t come cheap. Paris Saint Germain will try to hold on to their prized asset, but may lose out.

Madrid carries one of the most renowned names in the world of football and might be too attractive to turn down. Mbappe fits the bill of exactly the type of player Madrid sign. This means that they may not be able to afford Kane. With strict financial fair play rules, each move will be scrutinised and could scupper a move for the England captain. With this in mind, it will be interesting to see how this moves pans out. Kane would likely prefer a move away from the Premier League having being loyal to Spurs for so long.

Odds on this transfer have dropped from the mid-20s to as low as 13/2 (7.5).

Likelihood – Medium

Harry Kane to La Liga giants Barcelona

Playing alongside Lionel Messi in the famous Barcelona kit must be an exciting prospect for any professional player. Kane has become known as one of the hardest working professionals in the game and a move La Liga would offer a new challenge.

The Catalan side have been struggling lately, by their standards at least. A long-term replacement for Luis Suarez is top of the list and Kane fits the profile. Antoine Griezzman hasn't really got going yet for Barca, but the Spurs man would likely relish the chance to link up with the French World Cup winner.

Interestingly, archrivals Madrid are deemed to have a better chance of signing him. We have to wonder if Kane would prefer to be the star of the team instead of a possible fringe player.

Likelihood – Medium

Will PSG come in for him?

PSG can absolutely afford Harry Kane, no doubt about it. The owners are throwing money at the club in hope of European success. Kane could be the missing piece they are looking for. Neymar and Mbappe are rumoured to be looking for exits and that leave the door open for PSG to build a team around Kane.

This would offer a unique challenge to the Englishman who would likely win trophies in the French capital. In saying that, they haven’t managed to beat fellow European giants and this may put Kane off.

PSG have, however, cooled their interest. It's not clear why but hanging on to their star players could be top of theri priority list.

Likelihood – slim

Harry Kane to Stay at Spurs Odds

One option that seems to be being overlooked, is Harry Kane staying put. It's worth remembering that he is a Spurs player with a couple of years left on his contract.

Current Head Coach Jose Mourinho has spoken highly of his star forward and would no doubt like to hold on to the forward. Spurs have put a hefty £200m price tag on the England Captian suggesting they don't want to let him go. It will take an exceptional bid to prize Kane from Spurs so it's no wonder that him staying at Spurs leads the betting for where he will be playing next season.

Likelihood – High
