Will Arsenal turn to be African club?

The richest man in Africa Aliko Dangote, whose fortune is estimated at  £10bn is said to be interested in Arsenal London takeover.

Both majority shareholders of the Gunners, Stan Kroenke and Alisher Usmanov, rule out the potential sale but the African billionaire won’t easily resign as he admits Arsenal is still in his long term plans.

“I still hope, one day at the right price, that I will buy the team. I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.” he said in an interview for Bloomberg.

He however quickly added there was no offer made and won’t be made in the near future:

“We have 16 billion dollars-worth of investments in the next few years. Right now I want to take my own business to a certain level. Once I finish on that trajectory, then maybe.”

Arsenal is enjoying a decent season so far. They have a very good chance of finishing the Premier League season on second place behind Chelsea London and will also play Aston Villa in the FA Cup final on May 30.
