Manchester United – Manchester City Derby Preview

Sunday 12th of April 3:30pm is the date for the 169th Manchester Derby at Old Trafford.

Manchester United - Manchester City

It’s going to be an extremely interesting game with both teams separated by only one point in the Premier League table. What is more it’s Manchester United who is higher in the ranks after having a winning strike of 5 games. Citizens are point behind and if they fail to win they will definitely lose their chances for title defense.

United will hope to beat City for the first time since 4 games. Last November they lost 0:1 at Etihad Stadium.

Dutch forward Robin van Persie already came back from injury but according to Luis van Gaal he will miss the City clash. Jonny Evans is suspended while Luke Shaw and Chris Smalling are both injured.

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is the biggest injury worry for Manuel Pellegrini but according to latest news he will be in the starting line up for Citizens. Forwards Wilfried Bony and Stevan Jovetic both having some health problems but might feature in the game if required.

Probable line ups:

Manchester United: de Gea – Blind, Rojo, Jones, Valencia – Carrick – Young, Herrera, Fellaini, Mata – Rooney

Manchester City: Hart – Clichy, Mangala, Kompany, Zabaleta – Fernandinho, Toure – Milner, Silva, Nasri – Aguero.
