Van Persie wants to end his career at Old Trafford

It all looks that a move to Manchester United was just what Robin van Persie wanted. With a great first season at Old Trafford the Dutch international star now says he is so happy there he would like to finish his football career at the club.

Van Persie was the hero of the longest transfer saga last summer with both clubs from Manchester fighting hard to lure him out of Arsenal. At the end it was Sir Alex Ferguson who spent the cash and brought the 29 years old striker to Old Trafford.

Speaking about this transfer Citizens coach Roberto Mancini predicted that this move can decide on the title winner this season. And it all looks that the Italian man was just right about it. Van Persie already scored 23 goals for United including some really important ones especially during the period when Wayne Rooney was injured. Mainly thanks to his input United are now 15 points clear of their local rivals and only a complete disaster could take away Premier League title from them this season.

Van Persie started his football career in Feyenoord. He moved to Arsenal in 2004 and showed up to be a really good replacement for Thierry Henry. However only in his last season at Emirates he managed to play over 30 games as previously injuries stopped him from showing his full potential.
